Plan every pairing,

One buck breeds many does, so HerdMaster organizes breedings the way a rabbitry actually runs: by doe. Pair a sire and dam, and the whole timeline builds itself.
- The full timeline. Palpation windows, nest box timing, and expected kindle dates, all from one breeding date.
- Moon phase calendar. Breeders who plan by the moon get the phases built right into the picker.

Evans XML is the primary and recommended import path. Evans HTM and Evans text-based PDF pedigree import are fallbacks for older exports when XML is unavailable. PDF import supports text-based PDFs only, not scanned or image-only PDFs. Evans XML and Evans HTM both require Breeder or Show Breeder. Evans text-based PDF import requires Show Breeder.
- Evans XML. The entire export comes across: animals, winnings, and litters, one pass.
- Evans HTM pedigree import. Fallback for older exports when XML is unavailable.
- Evans text-based PDF: brings in the subject animal and up to 14 ancestors across three generations. Scanned or image-only PDFs are not supported.
- Manual entry. Add animals by hand and link pedigrees as you go.
- Imports match incoming animals to existing records, let you review conflicts before saving, and roll back if a save fails.
Coming from Everbreed?
HerdMaster imports Everbreed Animals CSV and Litters CSV exports for rabbits and cavies. Select the species before importing. Both CSV imports require a Breeder or Show Breeder plan. We recommend importing Animals CSV first, then Litters CSV. A litter row imports only when its sire and dam uniquely match existing animal records; rows with missing or ambiguous parent matches are skipped.
With an internet connection and a valid public Everbreed pedigree link, you can import one subject animal into Herd, with the ancestors visible on that pedigree saved as inactive, pedigree-only records. This works on any plan within its normal animal limits. The link does not import unrelated herd animals, litters, breeding history, health records, or tasks. These import options do not provide complete Everbreed account migration.
Offline use
and iCloud sync.
Your herd records are stored on your iPhone or iPad. The iCloud sync pilot is temporarily paused, so HerdMaster is not currently syncing herd records through the pilot. If you used iCloud sync before the pause, previously synchronized herd data may remain in the dedicated HerdMaster record zone in your private iCloud database; the pause itself does not delete or alter that CloudKit data or the herd stored locally on your device. HerdMaster separately processes account, sign-in, subscription and other limited account-linked records described in the Privacy Policy.
